Date: Sat Apr 21, 2001 7:56 pm I have "zaps" too, but they are not in my head/brain. I get these zap feelings along my spine. Another feeling that may be related is sometimes I feel like my fingertips are electric...like they are buzzing sort of. Anyone else with this weird feeling? I don't comment very often it seems, I just tend to read a lot of the posts and shake my head as I identify strongly with them. I had to comment on this one. I was given a liver panel, but of course it was NOT to determine whether the drugs were being metabolized properly. I had started with a new primary care doctor, because I couldn't get the old one to listen to my concerns about the side effects of Zoloft and Celexa. When I switched to the new one, she gave me a complete blood work-up, and the liver panel came back saying that my ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE level was much too high. I asked...is this a result of my medications? "NO" was the answer. I had recently been off all meds for about 6-8 weeks at the time. A month later when the levels began to slowly go down, she still would not say they were from the drugs. Instead as I sat there complaining about all the exhaustion and pain I was having in my arms and legs and the "electric fingertip" sensations....she writes out a prescription for WELLBUTRIN. It will help with blocking the pain. It's time for you to see a neurologist and an endocrinologist. I am still waiting for those appointments...which I am sure will not prove very fruitful in my search for answers. All I know is that I ripped up that prescription as soon as I left the office. Has anyone else ever had high ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE levels? Kate
